Although we as consumers have a sanitized view of the link between the animals we see on farm and the meat we consume, only a few are aware of the veterinary input for the production of safe meat post farm gate. This lecture seeks to raise awareness of the role veterinarians play in the meat industry, the laws they enforce on our behalf and some examples of what they protect us from.
